Faster Convergence Controller With Distorted Grid Conditions for Photovoltaic Grid Following Inverter System

The hysteresis current controller (HCC) for grid following inverter (GFI) system with $LCL$ -filter is a well-known its robustness, fast reference tracking, better dynamics, and easier implementation compared to other controllers. However, HCC behaves differently while integrating such solar photovoltaics (PV). PV-based GFI requires convergence transferring maximum power from PV the at minimum converter losses through GFI. This paper therefore proposes modified double-band (MDBHCC) proportional resonant (PR) single-phase integrated LCL-filter. proposed algorithm implements unipolar symmetrical PWM strategy reducing switching sequential logic an adaptive clock. It improves variation in frequency limits of enhancing total harmonic distortion (THD) injected into point common coupling. To alleviate quality problem achieve zero steady state error, MDBHCC PR control operates lesser % THD. Simulation experimental results are presented, significant decrease improvement harmonics both steady-state dynamic conditions.
